Salary: Grade 4 £24,529 - £26,048 per annum

(Approximately £19,616 - £20,831 pro-rata per annum)

About us and the role

Are you passionate about fostering a love for reading and learning in young minds? Do you possess the skills to curate a vibrant and welcoming library environment?

We are seeking a dedicated and vibrant individual to join our team as a librarian & Resource Manager. If you’re enthusiastic about empowering students through literature and information, we’d love to hear from you.

Avanti Grange Secondary School opened in September 2022 on the site of our new primary school, Avanti Meadows, before moving to a new, permanent site in September 2023. The school opened with 4 forms of entry (120 Year 7 students only) in September 2022 rising to 6 form of entry (180 Year 7 students) from September 2023.One of the many things that makes Avanti Grange Secondary School distinctive is its values-based approach to education. What will you do?

  • Manage and maintain the school library, including cataloguing and organising resources effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive library atmosphere that encourages a love for reading and learning among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs through resource selection and integration of library materials into lesson plans.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to students in research, information literacy, and technology use.
  • Stay informed about current trends in education, literature, and technology to continually enhance library programs and services.
